CARPET STEAM CLEANERS

Carpet steam cleaners are a wonderful invention. It's actually quite disgusting how much dirt a debris is ground up and sitting in your carpet fibers. Sometimes the best vacuum in the world just can't get up everything so a good cleaning is required, especially if the mess or stain is really set in.

You can buy residential use steam cleaners that will either do your entire carpet at once or get a spot cleaner for small areas. A spot cleaner is too concentrated to do the entire room and some large room cleaners aren't convenient for quickly cleaning a small spot, so some people actually have both.

There is also the professional cleaning option. We had our carpets cleaned professionally and they used steam to really get the gunk out. The hot steam goes a long way toward breaking up the stuck on dirt and releasing it so the vacuum suction can pull it out. Steam is also so hot that it kills a lot of germs that are hanging around, too. Dust mites are no match for it.

Carpet Steam CleanersWe did a lot of research on steam cleaners to have at home. It looks as though the Hoover steam cleaners brand had the best reviews and was also reasonably priced. Another popular brand is the shark steam cleaner. In addition to buying the cleaner itself, which often looks like a beefed up vacuum, you can also get cleaning products to put in the steamer in order to give it some additional cleaning power. The cleaners are often worth the price, but you'll want to find the best deal possible by shopping during sales and using coupons.

We suggest buying your carpet steamer at a store that has a good return policy and good sales. They can be somewhat expensive, ranging from $150-$400 depending on the features and brand you get. Do some online review searching to find out which one is loved by those who own it already.

Is it worth the money? It really depends on how much you'd use it. If you're planning on just once or twice a year, it may be cheaper to either rent one or have professionals do it. Some people find renting disgusting as they know the cleaner has been in someone else's house previously which is like dragging their dirt into your own home.

If you aren't going to use it then don't bother buying one. But if you're serious about carpet care and keeping the germ fest away from your home then considering investing in a carpet steam cleaner to keep your house clean and your carpets lasting longer.
